so many islands, so little time.
Our next island destination was Mallorca, Spain. Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and can be found off the east coast of Spain in the Mediterranean. This luxurious island is a popular holiday destination for many Europeans, and we can totally see why. From stunning golf courses, to lively nightlife, and even historical castles – Mallorca has something for everyone.
We had the privilege of staying with OD Port Portals. This lovely hotel was opened in 2014 and goes above and beyond in giving guests the perfect trip.
OD Port Portals
The design at OD Port Portals is unlike any hotel we have seen and the location is unbeatable. It is close enough to the city for convenience, but far enough away for seclusion. The hotel is within walking distance from the beach and only a short drive from the airport.
We have a soft spot for day beds, so the incredible pool had our hearts from the second we arrived. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind.
When we weren’t relaxing, we were spending time in the open lobby – whether it be sitting on the couches, getting a drink from the bar, or working at the table.
We were lucky enough to stay in a Junior Suite at OD Port Portals. Maybe it was the perfect nights sleep in our comfortable bed or the huge rain shower, but we didn’t want our stay to end. Our suite had everything – even coffee that Della was over the moon about. Not only was the room incredible, but when staying in a Junior Suite guests are provided with a free shuttle in a Porsche, an iPad in the room, and a free SmartCar rental to get around the island. OD Port Portals knows comfort, convenience and luxury. The bottle of champagne to welcome us was the cherry on top to an unforgettable stay in Mallorca.
The Most Important Meal of the Day
Here we go on another rant about our obsession with breakfast, but it really does get better and better. At OD Port Portals they had a buffet with all the works. You name it and they have it – fruit, pancakes, crescents, salami, even gluten free bread! As if that’s not enough, they also have a menu for guests to order off of. Spain knows how to start a morning right!
Breakfast isn’t the only meal we ate at the hotel. The restaurant is right in the lobby with a menu that changes daily. They also had gluten free options, making it the perfect spot for Rae. Not only was it convenient, but it was delicious.
Things to Do
Walk to Port Portal where you’ll find shopping, fine dining, and wonderful views.
Get a workout in at Sporting Fitness Club, it’s a short walk from the hotel and though working out isn’t always fun, the view make it worth it.
Swim in the clear water of the Mediterranean!
Watch the sunset from the comfort of your balcony. You have a view of the water and fluffy white robes to make it even better.
